It's hard, and yet easy, to believe that I'm coming to the end of my time in Lyon. One more month until I pack up my bags for good and hand in my keys. The part that makes it easy to believe is the disaster zone currently occupying my apartment. Sylvie-the-cousin has moved her things in this week with the help of a collection of nephews. Where this leaves me now, is with all of her possessions in the apartment, including two of the nephews, and absolutely no order yet. There is barely room to pass from room to room.
I know it will not stay like this for long; in fact, I'm hoping that over the weekend, while I'm away in Paris, Sylvie will be able to carve some order out of this chaos. At the moment though, I have an excess of cardboard boxes, a lack of space, and two teenage boys lackadaisically painting the bathroom and toilet. They even slept over last night on the sofa-bed which means my apartment is even starting to smell like teenage boys. At least they haven't started eating my food...yet.
Sunset from my balcony:
I suppose in terms of hardships, this is not the worst thing to ever happen to me. But after almost 7 months of independence and solitude, I'm finding it difficult to face this invasion of privacy with equanimity. However, tomorrow sees me off to Paris for the weekend and I'm hoping for vast improvments chez moi by the time I get back on Monday. The weirdest sky I've seen yet:

Those photos are amazing....especially the last one!
