Then, then on October 5, I'll come home. It feels so strange to write about coming home 4 months before it will happen but there it is. I certainly won't have money to stay longer and being without a place to live at that point makes the decision easier. I don't really know how I feel about it because it's still so far away. Right now, I'm very much thinking of other things.
For example, on Sunday I am going to Italy for two weeks with two wonderful friends. Expect some posts of la bella vita when I get back. For now, I'll leave some pictures of a little French town called Pérouges which my Mom and I visited a couple weeks ago. It's a walled medieval city and one of the most convincingly unmodernised that I've ever seen.

Croatia is beautiful, or at least Dubrovnik is stunning. I was there for a few hours inthe Old City and it was just amazing. Make sure to do the walk of the wall around the city. It is very very cool.
ReplyDeleteSad that you have to leave before your year is up, but at least you'll have had a truly wonderful time, even if the work situation didn't turn out the way you expected.
